From Idaho to OKC and the beginning of the summer!

Ive been away from the blog for far too long! In mid-April Bo left for Oklahoma City to start his new job with Platinum Protection. And after finals in the beginning of may I packed up our teeny first apartment, shoved it all (well mostly) in my trusty Norma jean and drove to Oklahoma with Bo's Cousin Brooke Mickelsen, leading the way.

It was quite the drive and I was so worried about the car making it. 22 hours of driving and some rough roads (Norma jean caught some serious air!) we made it to OKC and got settled! So far the work is great, Bo is improving on his selling technique every day, and I am loving being an office assistant. The crew out here with us is great! We are truly blessed this summer!

The first few weeks of work have been a little crazy due to the licensing situation in Oklahoma. All of the guys have to take a test to get licensed in the state of Oklahoma and the test has proved to be annoyingly difficult to pass. So we have been staying in hotels over the Texas boarder and working out of Texas until everyone can pass the test. Kind of a pain but as a lot of us OA's and wives have said, "were lovin life in the La Quinta!!" Luckily most of our guys as of last week have passed the test so they can work in OKC! Just a handful of guys left and we will all get to live in our lovely apartments in the city!

The apartment we are living in for the summer are amazing! I am loving the full sized kitchen, compared to the closet kitchen I had before and the washer and dryer. haha makes life so much easier. Both of us love the pools and gym right in the complex to go play at when we have free time and Bo loves having a multi-roomed house to mess up! :) We live pretty much in the middle of the city, so we can get to pretty much anything in 5ish minutes. The weather down here is pretty crazy though, I am so not used to the heat or the humidity... or the TORNADO'S! A couple weeks ago the mid-west was hit with several tornado's and one was really close to the apartment complex in OKC. Some of our friends were evacuated to shelter and eventually they went home without any problems. We were in Texas at the time and also had to go to safety but after about 30 minutes everything was alright!

For now we are just working and enjoying the new views! Life is pretty busy and pretty crazy but we are loving every day and making the most of it. :)
